M.U.F.F.I.N FUND puts together winter care bags for our most vulnerable children in Olathe school district for the winter break. These children depend on school breakfast and lunch and when the school is not in session often times they go hungry. While other children are busy celebrating the break and the holiday season these children are
M.U.F.F.I.N FUND puts together winter care bags for our most vulnerable children in Olathe school district for the winter break. These children depend on school breakfast and lunch and when the school is not in session often times they go hungry. While other children are busy celebrating the break and the holiday season these children are dreading the holidays and the hunger which comes with it. M.U.F.F.I.N FUND puts together the bags with non-perishable items.
last year we made 654 bags for the families. This year we are expecting more than 700 bags. Each bag cost us around $50-$60.

We put order for all the non-perishable items which go in the bag through the wholesale stores and wherever we can find the best deals by mid November. Once we have the items, we start packaging them to go in the bags. We have two big work days to set up the assembly line and pack the actual blue IKEA bags.
